Rutter’s has added fresh-cooked waffles – a regional favorite – to its food menu:
• Waffle ice cream sandwich, with a choice of vanilla or Neapolitan ice cream, served with powdered sugar on top;
• Waffle sandwich, with chicken and gravy;
• Waffle dinner, with chicken, gravy and mashed potatoes;
Rutter’s also has added waffles to its bread options, joining white, wheat and rye.
“The addition of waffles is just more of Rutter’s ongoing effort to expand its food menu to include new local favorites, which fast-food restaurants just can’t do,” said Jerry Weiner, vice president of food service. “While they are stuck with hamburgers and fries, Rutter’s is continuing to develop the variety that customers want today.”
Family-owned and third generation-managed, York-based Rutter’s (www.rutters.com) operates 55 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Lancaster counties.
