Hello everybody! I wanted to take some time and introduce myself to all the faithful blog followers out there. Over the next few months you will get to know me as the new face of the Rutter’s blog, and in turn I hope to get to know you, not only as customers but more importantly as friends.

My name is Kimberly Hernandez, but you can call me Kim. I was born and raised in good ol’ Lancaster County, and take pride in living in a state that uses and appreciates the agriculture and resources that it has to offer. I am the youngest of three kids, with a sister and a brother. Growing up we didn’t always have the latest and greatest toys, but we managed to keep ourselves entertained and out of trouble for the most part. One thing that I remember so clearly is how I would love to sit and watch my older brother draw his Ninja Turtle action figures or whatever he was working on. And I would think to myself I wonder if I could ever do that. Well, it turns out that with a little hard work and whole lot of effort, I could! Throughout all my levels of schooling, art class quickly became my favorite subject. In High School I found a passion for photography that remains strong. It amazed me just how much you could say within one picture, and yet everyone who looked at it could interpret it however they saw fit. And out of this passion I have pursued both photography and graphic design at Harrisburg Area Community College and The Art Institute of York. Art has no boundaries and I think that’s what draws me to it so much. I truly believe that there is no limit to what you can take and learn from art, and I don’t ever plan to stop soaking it up. I am just so grateful and extremely excited to be able to share my love of art and creativity with you guys and gals.

Our job here is to keep you in the loop as to how Rutter’s can do even more for you and your wallets. So, please feel free to share your ideas, comments, and questions with us so that we can make each Rutter’s experience a great one.  Please don’t hesitate to tell your friends, family, and even neighbors to stop by their local Rutter’s to see everything we have to offer and more.  And I promise to do my part by keeping you informed as to how you can get in on all the action.
