My Snow Time, Part 2

I am now, officially, tired of snow.
Two weeks of tense talk about the ‘next big storm’ coming. Dire warnings from the weather man about how the four feet we already have isn’t the end of it. I don’t want to shovel out my car again. I don’t want another high stress drive in my little car through the snowy roads, the wind kicking up a curtain of white, my wipers going full out, desperately trying to figure out if I’m on the road or not. That is not fun.
I’ve gotten all the sledding, the snowball fights, the snowmen, the late night strolls looking up at the white flecks floating down against the black sky that I need. At least for this year.
I am so very much looking forward to spring. We are already making plans for what we’ll do when all the snow is gone. I think a camping trip is first on the list. A good friend of mine has a house out south of Pittsburgh, far enough in the wilderness to make a good camping destination. As soon as the ground is solid enough to not be a muddy slush, I think we’ll take a weekend trip out there.
So, now that the green is starting to fight its way back into the world, what are your plans for the spring? Going with the standard celebration of the spring and enjoying a pleasant nature walk? Feeling ambitious enough to attempt an early trip to the beach? Maybe you’re planning a picnic?
Go ahead and share your plans!
