Highlighted by record giving in 2007, Rutter’s charitable contributions topped $1.4 million over the past five years. Almost all of the contributions have benefited children’s programs in the communities where the Rutter’s companies operate.
"Children are the future of our companies, and they’re truly the future of this country,” said Scott Hartman, president of Rutter’s Farm Stores. “It’s an honor for the Rutter’s companies to support non-profit groups and programs that do so much to improve the lives of children in our community.”
Rutter’s Farm Stores received the 2005 Outlook Award for community involvement from CSP Information Group, publisher of Convenience Store/Petroleum Magazine.
